Sue Broadway

 

This is an archival page. Since 2006 Sue has been working full time as Artistic Director of Strange Fruit.

Sue will be available for projects starting after January 2010 as a director,  performer or teacher. Watch this space for  news.

Sue Broadway has many years experience both in Australia and Internationally.  She was a founding member of Circus Oz, with whom she performed for seven years, In 1985 Sue co-founded the English company Ra-Ra Zoo, with whom she toured the world until 1993.  She was Artistic Director of Circus OZ from 1993 - '95, and in 2000 she was the Circus Director for the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games.

The Soobee Show

Join Soobee in a comical adventure as she juggles, fumbles and stumbles her way through a collection of unique and ridiculous acts." Featured at the Andorran International Clown festival.

Waiting Not Drowning

Two clowns and a Baby Grand Piano. A poignant piece about travel, dislocation and loss set in a waiting room limbo. Directed by Therese Collie. "So refreshing to see women do clowning really well,simple and clean. Fantastic." Tamsin McGuin. Circus Minimus. April 2003.

The Broadway Follies

In this fifty minute show for schools Sue and her beautiful assistant vividly recreate the golden days of Vaudeville. Touring Tasmania, Victoria and W.A. first half of 2004. For further information Contact Nexus Arts on 03 9528 3416

SOOBEE AND JEFFREE

Two clowns attempt to present a circus and create a series of near misses which will S & J 1.jpg (12975 bytes)captivate young and old alike. This show includes juggling with hats, clubs and lasso, a musical number and comedy acrobatics. Duration flexible - 15 to 50 mins. These characters can also do roaming work presenting 5 min skits as they wander.

Clowning as it's meant to be - skilful, charming and surprising.
